The Facebook Runner Opera Extension will save how much time you spend on Facebook. After installing it starts running only if Facebook tab is active. When Facebook tab is not active, it stops automacially.

It saves values for continuing after restart. In Preferences page you can also change save interval, resetting and show format options.
