English:

Monitor your CPU load and speed

Keeping an eye on CPU performance is a very important thing after you changed the cooler or installed a new heatsink, so a tool like CPUresistor is almost a must have.

This freeware application was developed to monitor the CPU load and speed, offering a very simple feature to generate reports and help you track the processor performance effortlessly.

While it requires at least average computer skills, CPUresistor isn’t too difficult to use, but be aware that all the other processes are paused once you launch the app.

Regardless if you’re listening to music or simply working on the computer, CPUresistor pauses the other processes in order to simulate the user-defined load and thus get information on the CPU.

The main GUI of the program shows the current CPU usage and speed, the number of processor cores and comes with a slider to let you adjust the load. In case the computer restarts or crashes, it’s a clear sign that your processor isn’t working as it should.

The generated report is a plain text document that comprises information such as CPU usage, frequency and time, letting you track processor performance at different points of the testing.

As you can see, CPUresistor is most of the time an easy to use product, but rookies should stay away from it unless they know how to analyze the collected data. CPUresistor doesn’t come with a help manual, but more information is available online.

Overall, CPUresistor is a handy project that could help determine the cause of computer crashes and with a few improvements in some specific areas, it could become a much more appreciated app.
